Which tool is best?
OUTSIDE
This game requires your child to choose the best tool out of three options you give, based on a familiar activity.
For example, ‘I’m going to tidy up the fallen leaves in the yard. Would I use a straw broom, a toothbrush or a rake?’
Making at least two of the items plausible (e.g. either a broom or a rake might be used to tidy the leaves) gives the child the opportunity to discuss their thinking while selecting the most suitable tool available.
