What sounds can I find?
INSIDE
Ask your child to go on a sound hunt in and around your house.
That is, find objects that can make sounds.
These could be things like the sound:
- a saucepan lid makes when gently hit with a spoon
- made by tapping a glass jar partially filled with water
- made by a wind chime
- of a rubber band stretched across a tissue box and strummed.
Ask your child to order the sounds from lowest to highest pitch by drawing the objects arranged in a vertical line.
