Walking bus tour

This game involves taking your child on a walking bus tour around your local environment or neighbourhood.

The idea of the activity is to take turns pretending you are a tour guide on a bus (while you walk), describing to the passengers, the different landmarks, pathways and features of your area as you move through it.

For example, as you walk up your street, you might say, ‘We are now travelling towards the centre of town on Smith Street.

On your left, you will see the local primary school, and on your right you will see a house with a huge pine tree in its front yard.

Take turns being the tour guide as you travel around your neighbourhood.
