Sort it out

Ask your child to collect a range of objects (or draw a picture of them) in the home, that have moving parts.
These could be different types of toys, kitchen utensils such as pizza cutters, tongs, some corkscrews, jar or bottle lids, scissors.
Ask your child to sort these into groups based on how their parts move (e.g. a pizza cutter blade moves in a circular motion).
