Mr Clickety Cane is a great song for building an understanding of sequential thinking.
This song has a repeating chorus with an action that is added on to the end each time.
For example, the first chorus ends with ‘wash your face with orange juice’.
The next time the chorus is sung, it has the first action of ‘wash your face with orange juice’ and an additional action of ‘clean your teeth with bubble gum’.
The song continues to build one action on from the previous set each time.
