Playing with patterns
INSIDE
Create a range of spatial patterns with your child using different types of household items.
For example, you can use cups or containers to create a pattern of ‘tall, tall, short’ objects.
Ask your child to recreate the structure of the pattern using different objects (e.g. ‘red, red, blue’ objects or ‘click fingers, click fingers, touch the head’).
Try different types of patterns (e.g. ‘up, down, up, down’ or skip, skip, jump, jump, skip, skip, jump, jump’).
