When next you visit a playground or local parkland, give your child different commands to help them develop their understanding of left and right.

For example, your command might be ‘cubby house and left-hand’, so your child needs to go to the cubbyhouse and place their left hand on it.

The next command might be ‘see-saw and right-foot’, so your child needs to move to the see-saw and place their right foot on it somewhere.
