Pair them up

When folding the washing, ask your child to help you find the socks and create pairs of socks.

Discuss with them that a set of socks is two socks, and ask them what other clothing items need two parts to create the whole.

This could include pants and pant legs, shirts and arm lengths, and sets of gloves.

Talk about how the two parts of the set are the same shape and size.
