Number detectives

INSIDE

On small pieces of paper, write or draw the quantities of four numbers between 0–10.

For example, some pieces of paper might have numerals such as 3 or 9; while others might have a number of objects, such as two ice-creams or six dots:

With the numerals and objects you have provided them (in this case 2, 3, 6 and 9), ask your child to order them from smallest to biggest.

Then ask them which numbers are missing from a number line of 0–10 and to draw their own images or symbols to fill in the missing numbers to ten.
