Making maps

With your child, create a simple map of a familiar place.

This could be a map of their bedroom, classroom or somewhere special (e.g. their grandparents’ home).

Discuss where the different landmarks are in relation to each other when drawing the different objects and locations (e.g. the bed is next to the bookshelf but opposite the wardrobe).
