How many hands tall?

Ask your child to find a range of objects in your yard or local environment that they can easily measure with their hand span (e.g. the height of a park bench, plant, or bicycle).
Ask them to record the heights of the objects in hand spans and then create a picture graph of the objects from shortest to tallest.
For example, they write the word plant and represent its height with two hands, the park bench with six hands, etc.
