How do we get there?
OUTSIDE
When you are in a playground, park or open space, ask your child to describe directions to a particular landmark.
For example, how would I get to the swings if I were on the seesaw?
How would I get to the pond if I started at the flower bed?
Encourage your child to think about what spatial words (e.g. around, next to, between, under) are useful when giving their directions.
As a challenge, maybe they have to visit two landmarks on the way.
