Symbols are often found on the tags of clothing items to help you care for your garment.

Ask your child to look at the tags of various items of clothing.

What symbols do they find, and what do they mean?

The tag will often have a written description of the symbol, so discuss with your child how the different symbols represent the different instructions.

To extend this task, you could ask your child to create labels for different washing baskets to separate clothes into common groups (e.g. hand wash only, warm wash, etc).
