Can you grow my pattern?

A growing pattern is a pattern in which one or more elements of the pattern sequence increases each term (step) in the pattern.

Using LEGO blocks, or loose parts like bottle caps, build simple growing patterns such as the activity image above.

Ask your child to see if they can continue the pattern and describe what is happening in each term (i.e. how many objects does the pattern grow by each time?).
