Backyard riverbeds
OUTSIDE
Using some foil and a garden hose, create a riverbed as a creative way to water your garden.
To create your river, mould long strips of foil for the water to flow through by curving up the sides.
Ask your child to create different bends, twists and turns in the river to reach different sections of the garden you are watering.
Place the hose at the start of the river and watch the water flow to your garden bed.
Your child might like to draw a plan for reaching different sections of your garden, focusing on the different directions the river bed flows around and between plants.
